American Countryside

Andrew McCrea began the “American Countryside” broadcasts in October 5, 1996. That first broadcast aired on KFEQ radio in St. Joseph, MO. In 1999, Andrew had the opportunity to take his program to a weekday format and expand his station list. Today his daily features are heard on over 100 radio stations across the country and on Sirius XM satellite radio. In 2014, Andrew also began airing “American Countryside” television features via Farm Journal Broadcasting to over 150 local tv stations and many cable and satellite tv providers.

Andrew travels “on-location” for all of the interviews that are heard on the show. He’s logged over 5000 shows and been to all fifty states and six continents for these interviews. “American Countryside” is also a five-time recipient of the Oscars in Agriculture for excellence in rural and agricultural reporting. He’s interviewed Emmy and Grammy winners, Hall of Fame athletes, sled dog mushers and even been body slammed by professional wrestlers! But most often, his guests are people you’ve never heard of, with a story you’ll never forget!
